“Students are supposed to pay only Rs50 to confirm their FYJC online admissions in colleges. But, we got a complaint from MNVS that Jai Hind College was collecting Rs60 from students along with Rs50. Because of this, in confusion, some students have missed getting admissions. I have ordered an enquiry on this complaint to one of our education officer,” said BB Chavan, deputy director of school education.

FYJC mumbai has declared its second special merit list of 2016.Earlier, candidates whose names would come in the 2nd special merit list were told to secure their admission in the allotted colleges on August 24 and 25.

However, the Education department made a changes in the dates because of  the holiday on August 25 for Janmashtami declared by Maharashtra government.

This second special allocation undertaken by Mumbai FYJC to fill in the not occupied seats in the junior colleges across Mumbai. There is still 64% of seat available in the colleges after declaration of 2nd round special merit list. Students can now check it from Mumbai FYJC website.

Sangeeta Srivastav, principal of Kandivli-based TP Bhatia College, said, “Commerce and arts stream cut-off might come down just a little bit, as they are in demand this year. But the cut-off for the science stream may come down by as much as 2-3% in our college.”

Steps to check Mumbai FYJC second special merit list:-

  • Go to the official website- www.fyjc.org.in/mumbai.
  • Click on the link displaying “clich here for special round 2 result FYJC Mumbai 2016”.
  • Enter your application number.
  • Click on get result button.
  • Check your result and you can also take print out of this result for future preference.
