DU’s cut-off 2016: Since two years, Delhi university (DU)cut-offs was touching the 100 per cent mark, but to many surprise this year, the highest cut-offs witnessed a slight dip, as to apply in one of the top college Ramjas College, the highest score requires of 99.25 per cent for admission into B Com (honours), and closely followed by SGTB Khalsa, which requires a cut-off of 99 per cent for admission into BSc (Honours ) in Electronics.

For the same course last year, Ramjas College required a percentage of 97.75 for BCom (Honours), while SGTB Khalsa college had pegged their cut-off at 96.33 per cent for BSc in Electronics.

For 2016, the Cut-off marks at Khalsa College for most subjects increased from 95 to 97.25 per cent for History honours, 96.5 to 98.75 per cent for English honours, 96.5 to 98.5 for BCom and a 10 per cent plunge, from 85 per cent to 95 per cent, for BA honours in Punjabi.

Where as Shri Ram College of Commerce which is one of the top college has kept its cut-off for Economics (H) the same a 2015 at 98.25 per cent, however, has raised its B Com (H) cut-off to 98 per cent for 2016, as compared to 97.37 per cent in 2015.

This year after a long time there was dip in universities receiving number of applications this year.

This year Delhi University received a total of 2,50,914 applications for the 54,000 seats in 63 colleges, which is as compared to last year?s 2,91,819 applications.

From the total number of application received by the  university, 1,20,545 are female and 1,30,354 applicants are male applicants.

DU’s cut-off 2016 has received 15 applications in the others category.

There is increase in number of disabled applicants applying this year. This year, a total of 1,187 applicants under the disabled category have submitted.

The university, for the first time, had also made ECA and sports category application online and centralised.

Applicants have applied under sports quota also, and there are 10,382 applicants, and 8,273 under the ECA quota.

For 2016, the applicants under theK ashmiri migrant quota and  Children of War Widows also filled the centralised form.

Under the Kashmiri quota there were just 430 applicants, and the Defence Category (CW) there are 318 applications in DU’s cut-off 2016.
